Valve's Steam Deck updates to Plasma 6.2.5!

The games console has a slow update cycle to guarantee stability for users, but #Valve announced yesterday that both the #Arch base system and the #Plasma desktop environment are being updated to new preview releases.

Hi y'all, I'm a #Laravel / #PHP developer from The Netherlands. I've been on the Fediverse since October 2022, since the giant Blue Bird exodus.
I used to be known as @SuitedUpDev@mastodon.online / Hertog6 on the blue bird site. The reason why I was known as SuitedUpDev, is because 6 of the 7 days a week I wear a suit. Voluntarily, mind you

Besides being a developer, I also like to do photography (nature, landscape and flowers ), I like to cook and bake, I tinker around with #HomeAssistant and I like to read.
My main thing I like to read is history, and to be exact, books related to the Dutch colonization of Indonesia, the Japanese Occupation of Korea, Korean history, the collapse of communism and matters related to #DPRK (North Korea).

Next to this all, I am staff of the Queen of this household called Skittles . She is tortoiseshell cat, 10 years old and knows EXACTLY what she wants, when she wants it. Also obligatory #cat picture is attached.

I am also trying to learn Korean, but my Korean is horrible

In a previous life, I was sound & lighting engineer and sometimes I still do that on a volunteer basis for a local venue.

Edit: Maybe a spicy take but, a meal without rice isn't a meal, it's a snack.

I'm your average computer engineer that has absolute no idea of what to do.
My only talent in computer science is to pretend that I know and keep trying until it works.
I use #arch btw. But currently teaching myself #NetBSD.
I though it would be a good idea to join an instance where people talk about BSDs and share the fun. Fun like me getting to break something.

• #Linux user since 2001. Like many in my age group, I also used to run a forum and a wiki on an old Pentium 1 repurposed as a Slackware-based server under my bed.

• #Arch Linux and rolling release evangelist.

• Creator and main developer of Platypush, an open-source, general-purpose platform/framework to automate everything. With hundreds of available integrations, you can think of #Platypush as IFTTT+Tasker+SmartThings on steroids, scriptable, and runnable on almost any device. Or maybe like HomeAssistant’s smaller and even more hackish brother.

• Machine-learning enthusiast. I have written a book on it, with simple computer vision exercises that can be run on a #RaspberryPi, and I did some academic research back in a day where neural networks were still a cool new thing. I’ve also won a couple of awards from Hackernoon for my articles on IoT, AI, distributed systems and proof-of-stake.

• Music addict, decent guitar player, not-so-decent player of many other instruments, and occasional composer/producer of boring music. You can find some of my music on my Funkwhale server or on Spotify.
