The funny part about.. that I game out, is that no society of psychopaths who all understand that everyone is out to rule the world like they are would ever tolerate any level of wealth inequality. Austrian<p>(Pure) capitalism is an economic system with division of labor and private ownership (not only of the means of production, but) of all human property, including the means of production, consumer goods, and man himself and products of his labor. The logical and economic consequence of such a preposition is that capitalism is naturally beneficial not only for capitalists and entrepreneurs, but for everyone, for all the people in society. <br><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/statism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>statism</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/economics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>economics</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/science" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>science</span></a></p>
Nonilex<p><a href="https://masto.ai/tags/Hitler" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Hitler</span></a> had what one might call a diffident, occasionally felonious disregard for financial matters. He owed 400k reichsmarks in back taxes. His understanding of <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/economics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>economics</span></a> was primitive. “You have <a href="https://masto.ai/tags/inflation" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>inflation</span></a> only if you want it,” he once said. “Inflation is a lack of discipline. I will see to it that prices remain stable. Austrian<p>"Elon Musk—via his DOGE—exposing and attempting to cut government waste is wonderful. * What I see in three economic charts *
(thread)

Chart 1– Wage Growth vs. Inflation

Overall wage growth has outpaced inflation — that’s a good thing.

Note how the inflation trend line has come way down and is now at ~2%, where the Fed wants it to be (unfortunately, there will always be some inflation, but ideally wages should also increase).

Prices are still going up, but they are going up at an overall rate that is less than it was before.
