I have posted a few fogbows previously featuring the Cradle Mountain too. This one is more minimalist with only a tree and some layers.
"The danger of having the Constitution twisted and misconstrued to support vested interests and prejudices must be guarded against if American democracy is to maintain a progressive character." ~ Helen Keller
It's been a minute since I posted... Here's an overlooked image I've just found while looking back at photos from the Isle of Harris for an upcoming article about long-term projects.
For #MountainMonday I have one of my favourite mountains in the #FraserValley of #BritishColumbia - Silver Lake. Hope Mountain is often reflected in Silver Lake here, and makes for a nice spot to visit.

"The Sound of Rain", Scotland (2024).
From an early morning scout down on a loch shore, I initially went to see what these small ponds would look like facing in the complete other direction. When I approached on foot, I came over a small crest and was suddenly presented with gorgeous glowing light, the sound of soft rain on the water's surface, a perfectly framed mountain, and a fragment of ancient woodland.
We interrupt your regular program for a photo of the current situation on Vancouver Island where the moss has taken over the trails and trees. Feel free to close your eyes and imagine that you are walking barefoot on cushiony moss.

Something brand new, the tree and ravens were captured in the highlands of Falls Creek here in Australia. We have very chaotic forests which means the fog is quite vital to making a clear composition. The ravens were captured in nearby trees as there are many found in this area, just not where you want them =P

In case you are bloomscrolling…this photo will probably take some time. A cute little field of lupins

Somewhere in Iceland…again. June 2022.
For #MountainMonday I have a rather old photograph I made way back in 2011. The lesson from this one was to wait until the sunset is absolutely, positively, finished before heading back to the car. This one may have involved some running. :)
The Coast Mountains of British Columbia are one hell of a special place!

While I've posted most of these over the last few weeks, I've started a gallery on my site for the Muro Loco / Wall Crazy series.
https://mikaljakubal.com/galleries/
Still a work in progress. I need to add more shots, caption all of them, write an intro. I'd like to find a place to exhibit them.
Edit to add that I'm still adjusting the gallery in mobile view. The captions override the images too much. Looks better on a big screen. I'm working on it.
Fog envelopes an alpine basin, transforming it into something surreal. Every time I turned my head, it looked different.
Taken on an incredible afternoon in the alpine of #BC.

Okay #Photographers we now have a follower #StarterPack list started for #LandscapePhotography
A reminder that this is a list created by my own opinions of who you should be following for great #NaturePhotography focused on #Art and #Landscapes
Please share and, let me know if you feel others should be on this list. It is far from complete. I will be adding.
"Raking Light", Drakensberg 2024. We had risen in the dark to make the short but steep walk up to this view point on our final morning of a 75km traverse of the berg, and were greeted to views with such depth and light of a wonderful quality. The winds were strong but nothing could distract from the immensity of our surroundings.
