Old hippie raised in #SoCal w/6 siblings. Lived in #Maine, #Colorado, #Iowa, #Wisconsin. Went to 12 schools in 12 years. Had many jobs -- from building boats to making screws (really), from retail to short order cook, from newspaper editor to magazine publisher, from freelance writer to photographer.
