Our PC crashed a few days ago, and it turns out to have been because our game drive stopped working abruptly.

What this means is we lost several days to troubleshooting and anxiety, and the entire contents of the game drive – we can download it all again, but not before we can replace the game drive with a new one, which we currently can't.

Besides that, it appears our PC is still experiencing issues that may or may not be related to its aging components; we have limited ability to test for this, don't have another stable PC we could use in the meantime, and are unlikely to be able to afford one in the near future, should it become necessary.

We've updated our Ko-Fi goal to 600€ from 500€, to be able to cover the cost of a new 2TB hard drive (~90€), in addition to what we already need to cover August and the remainder of July, which still lingers.

I've made a lot of progress in physical therapy the past two years but five minutes of standing in front of my desk trying to box it up? my heart rate's nearing 140 and my back is screaming at me.

if I go at the rate I am physically capable of, it will never get done.

quick intro: @inoru_no_hoshi and I are two Deaf, disabled, Jewish/Jewish-ish, neurodivergent/autistic/ADHD and unemployed queers in southern California.

it's super expensive living here and we receive no social welfare whatsoever.

spouse does a job training program, I do community college, and none of those make money out of thin air.

I'm currently unemployable, no driver's license, too much disability, etc.

we get $125/month from the sale of my car, and everything else comes from the kindness of others!

- cat food and cat litter. our cat Zoey thanks you. but seriously, this is how we're able to buy her wet food and something better than the house store brand kibble that even most of the outdoor cats won't touch.

- necessary professional clothing. uncharted territory etc, and it's definitely taken a tone up from what we'd previously been getting away with.

- food at the end of the month when our food stamps has run out.

- bills! the bills don't stop no matter what I do and we currently have anywhere from $150 to $500 in bills per month.

I'm back from the denturist. He said my gums are getting damaged by the current immediate dentures & obtaining fixed ones would help with that & with eating more foods. The fixed dentures aren't as expensive as immediates were but they are still costly & not covered by my pharmacare. I am a disabled death doula/death care aide, working on independent contracts basis & have no additional health insurance coverage. I was slowly saving up for fixed dentures but had to use the $260 saved for unexpected medical costs for me & Mom's recent downturns in health last month.

These are the costs I was quoted today, for getting full set of fixed dentures made with the related costs that I'm #fundraising for:
