When dockerizing a web+sidekiq app, should the sidekiq process be in a separate container or should the container just run `bundle exec foreman start` to start both the web and sidekiq processes?

We are discussing namespacing our callback-called and/or model-related #sidekiq #workers under the MyModel namespace.

Eg. MyModel::MyCallbackWorker.perform_async(id)

It feels like the right move to unclutter our /app/workers directory.

Has anyone experienced with this? Any feedback on the topic?

#Mastodon scaling pro tip: don’t set your #Sidekiq concurrency greater than 25. You will just slow things down. Instead, add more Sidekiq processes, up to one per CPU. Be sure you allocate enough database connections for that total concurrency.

Is there a limit for PostgreSQL & PgBouncer connections? Let's say 1000 for example that way I can assign 500 for #sidekiq and the rest for Puma right?

SidekiqのWorkerをコールするとき、なるべくIDだけを渡すようにって話じゃないですか。

確かにRedisには負担が軽いけど、一方で、場合によってはWorkerの中でクエリーを1回余計に行うことになるよね。
Sidekiqのことをもう少しわからないと、これが妥当なトレードかどうか判断できない。
