THE FINALS broke again on Linux Desktop / Steam Deck, Valve updated Proton Hotfix to fix it https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2025/05/the-finals-broke-again-on-linux-desktop-steam-deck-valve-updated-proton-hotfix-to-fix-it/
Welp, so apparently (at least the #Steam release of) #InfinityNikki currently only supports the #SteamDeck (the LCD model in particular?), and not #Linux as a whole, due to their ACE anti-cheat.
The same thing also applies to #WutheringWaves apparently which was also just released on Steam, 'cept for this one, it straight up does not work on Linux/Steam Deck at all (at least for now).
Being cockblocked by anti-cheat for online, competitive #games like #Fortnite, #Valorant, and the like - I don't care at all, but not being able to play popular, chill, free games like these simply bcos the developer/anti-cheat decides to not open up their game for Linux gamers... that sucks ass. Hope this gets addressed soon. https://www.gamingonlinux.com/2025/04/infinity-nikki-on-steam-works-on-steam-deck-but-the-situation-is-odd-and-anti-cheat-blocks-desktop-linux/

MAXIMUM #GAMING. AS GABE INTENDED.
Valve's Steam Deck updates to Plasma 6.2.5!
The games console has a slow update cycle to guarantee stability for users, but #Valve announced yesterday that both the #Arch base system and the #Plasma desktop environment are being updated to new preview releases.

Deleting world "Chaos Fun" and creating "Chaos Fun 2" even though in this video I do not yet change the random name "The Climax of Owls" to "Chaos Fun 2".
World created is Small, classic and Corruption.
I enter the world and fly around a bit on my flying carpet.
I'm a Dad, Doom 64 Speedrunner, and a Linux Systems Engineer focusing on HPC at the University of Virginia. I've been into computers and configuring them since I can remember and I have finally found the job that I love that let's me work with my hobby in a laid back, chill, and interesting environment.
Let's chat about #Linux, #SteamDeck, #Subaru, #Android, #Gaming, and #HPC environments! Glad to meet you and thanks for stopping by!

How do you make a Windows handheld work well on Linux?
The story of how we got day 0 support for the Asus ROG Ally X couldn't have started without all of the untangling that has been done through the development of Handheld Daemon. As complicated as you think it is, it may just be more complicated than that.

Part 2 of this retrospective coming soon!
Bazzite 3.7 is out now! This is the last update where we will have a version number because it's arbitrary and not really tied to the continuous integration model we have for software delivery. But it's a good one!
* Keyboard-less installation (good for handheld installs)
* SMALLER UPDATE SIZES with Rechunk
* Gated kernel upgrades for a more stable experience
