David Heidelberg<p>First successful boot of the U-Boot bootloader on the <a href="https://floss.social/tags/Pixel3XL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Pixel3XL</span></a> !<br>Since I don't have a USB-C serial cable, this is the on-screen output—though the display driver isn’t ready yet.</p><p>U-Boot can be controlled using the power button (OK) and volume down button (DOWN).</p><p>This also paves the way for proper mainline support for the device, as the previously required hacky Linux kernel revert is no longer needed to boot the <a href="https://floss.social/tags/Pixel3" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Pixel3</span></a> / 3XL.<br><a href="https://floss.social/tags/sdm845" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sdm845</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/uboot" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>uboot</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/postmarketOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>postmarketOS</span></a> <a href="https://floss.social/tags/Mobian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mobian</span></a></p>
