2. Follow @bsky.brid.gy for your Bluesky friends. Share your Bluesky link and encourage them to follow @ap.brid.gy there.
3. Ask your non-Threads friends on Facebook and Instagram to join Threads and enable #Fediverse sharing. Share your Threads link.

Since I did it somewhat live (while cribbing from dress rehearsal) it's 13 minutes of me making mistakes in emacs but in the end we basically get to the two lines:
(make-pattern-from-bitmap-file (image-path obj))
(draw-pattern* pane img-pattern 0 0)
I use ed #emacs #orgmode #slime #interactiveProgramming in a kinda zany way but I think it's great

This is the first version of the cheat sheet, with some practical examples. Feedback is very welcome, and boosts as well
We just created a #HOWTO for how to set up dev/test servers using our #TLS #EncryptedClientHello #ECH enabled forks of #OpenSSL #nginx and #curl running on #Debian. It should be very quick to get started using a new domain: https://guardianproject.info/2023/11/10/quick-set-up-guide-for-encrypted-client-hello-ech/

These are some apps you can use here, to read, post and send messages.
They are available and free in app stores for iOS and Android:
For iOS:
Metatext (free) https://apps.apple.com/se/app/metatext/id1523996615?l=en
Toot! (paid)
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/toot/id1229021451
Tooot (free)

For Android:
Tusky (free)

Remember it's possible to just use the web interface. You can save the web address of your home instance as a shortcut on your phone. I myself prefer this because it maintains all the features that some apps forget to implement (like setting the language of your toot). It also helps me avoid notifications on my phone.
How to make your profile private
You can:
Prevent people from following you automatically by restricting them with follow requests.
Change the privacy of posts you share to just your followers. This way, your future posts will only remain visible to people who follow you and not on the local or federated timelines.
Restrict your account’s visibility by preventing it from being recommended to strangers.
Prevent your non-followers from accessing the list of people you follow and the ones who follow you.
Stop receiving direct messages from people you don’t know.
Prevent being notified about tweets, mentions, and replies from people you don’t know.
